The Things Brides Never Say Out Loud
My Gentle Readers,
There are many things brides say out loud during wedding planning.
“We’re keeping it simple.”
“It’s all under control.”
“Oh, I don’t mind either option.”
And then… there are the things they don’t say.
The things whispered internally while smiling politely through venue tours and colour discussions.
Like: “I love everyone dearly, but if I receive one more Pinterest link at midnight, I shall need medical attention.”
You see, beneath every calm bride is a woman attempting to balance excitement, emotion, expectation, logistics, budgets, opinions and approximately fourteen browser tabs.
And somehow, she still shows up glowing.
Remarkable, really.
But perhaps the biggest unspoken truth of all is this:
Most brides are not chasing perfection.
They are chasing a feeling.
A feeling that the day reflects them.
A feeling that the people they love are together.
A feeling of joy, calm, meaning, connection.
The flowers matter - until your best friend makes you laugh so hard you forget what the bouquets even looked like.
The napkins matter - until your grandmother squeezes your hand during dinner.
The details matter - but never as much as the moments do.
And maybe that’s what brides are truly trying to protect beneath all the planning:
Not the aesthetic. The emotion.
So if you’re currently somewhere between excitement and exhaustion, between inspiration and overstimulation, know this:
You are not “doing it wrong.”
You are simply having a very human experience while planning a deeply meaningful day.
And darling?
That’s entirely understandable.
With affection, understanding and a fully charged phone on silent,
Lady Belle
