The Fine Art of Bridal Delegation

Dearest Darling,

There comes a moment in every bride's journey when she must ask herself one critical question: "Must I truly do everything myself?"

If the answer is yes, she is likely clutching a clipboard in one hand and her last shred of patience in the other.

Allow me to speak plainly - wedding planning is no solo affair. It is, in fact, a production so elaborate it would make even Her Majesty's court look like a casual garden gathering. And yet, I have seen brides toil away as though they were both the queen and the butler.

I, Lady Belle, must intervene.

You see, my darling, there is a delicate dance between delegation and disaster. Too much control, and you become a glitter-covered tyrant; too little, and your Maid of Honour may accidentally book the harpist and a fire dancer for the ceremony.

The key? Know thy strengths... and thy friends' calendars.

Let the stylish one oversee the bridesmaid dresses. Give the spreadsheet sorceress the seating plan. And hand over the ribbon tying duties to anyone with two thumbs and access to a kettle. (Tea, after all, makes every task more bearable.)

But most importantly - and this I must underline - once you have delegated, do not hover like a spectre in tulle. Trust is the loveliest veil a bride can wear.

Should disaster strike (and it will, for such is tradition) know this: a wedding remembered for joy is never perfect. But it is perfectly yours.

With a raised glass and a well organised clipboard

Lady Belle
